Delhi Darshan

Reached "Rail bhawan'- (near india gate, rashra bhathi Bhawan) from kalkaji.
Metro ride
Metro station name 'Central secratariat' and to re ch 'chandini chawk' take train to 'Vishwa vidyalaya'
(Rs.9) Metro train is good, as good as any othermetros(singapore, bangkok),Auto door opening and closing,hv announcement for safety, next stations, changing lines- both in english and hindi, inside the train there are diagrams ,of the station routes, lcd displays, we hv clear glass to view outside(but this is an under ground route!, so u can see only the dark tunnel),the train is clean,
In 'rajiv chowk' huge crowd got in, so the 'metro' is running in profit!
No pawn chewing, no smoking,
Gurudwara
Walk outside the station is the 'Sisganj Saheb' gurudwara- place of martyrdom of Guru Teg bhahudur sing
-visited had prasadam.
Haldirams
Near the station and near the gurudwara., good thali meal.
Jamma masjid
Took a cycle rickshaw, only 5 minutes from haldirams,
Inside it is very good.
Especially, the view from the 'minar' which is 150ft, is Wow!wow!
View of red fort from there made me go to red fort nex(was not in my plan), inside the masjid there is a big place where they, spread the corns, for the pigieons , which flocks In to eat.
When we see from the top of the minar, can see the exact planning, of the jamma masjId, the front portions, which were supposed to be the fountains, and the grounds are very well planned.
Red fort(was the seat of Indian power)
Built by Shahjahan, this is huge, and stands sturdy, the view itselfs epitomise strength.
This kind of construction 300 -400 yrs back is amazing. As in many forts, there is a big 'pit' surronding the fort(may they had waters in this, some kind of defence system so that no one can enter).
Swantantra sangama sangrahalaya, the museum on Indian independence is a must see.
There is also the war musuem displaying arms,rifles,swords,shields...
At the middle there is 'Diwan-I-Am' the place the emperor gives the public audience , a huge marble platform, facing the big garden.
AT the back there are 3 - 4 halls, supposed to be very good painted, carved and decorated, but now it has become very old,in one of these halls, is the place where the famous "peacock throne" was there.
There is also the moti masjid, which aurangezeb built .
